We affirm that the Holy Scriptures, as originally written by their original authors are inerrant and fully inspired by God. In addition, we affirm that the Holy Bible forms the basis for our beliefs. Subscribing to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000.

FBC POC is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) and the Guadalupe Baptist Association (GBA). The SBC is a loosely associated group of almost 50,000 churches and 15 million members. The SBTC represents over 2500 churches who partner to minister throughout Texas. The GBA is composed of 55 churches in the Crossroads.

Every SBC church is completely independent and autonomous.  Each church is self-governed and determines its own affairs.
